Berdych and
Wawrinka schedule 4th round clash
Stanislas
Wawrinka was able to get a third career victory over Marcos Baghdatis in four
sets. “Stan” started with a solid performance getting the first two sets 6 – 3 6
– 2 with some outstanding winners and Baghdatis wasn’t able to find himself
after losing the break ahead in the first set.
The player
from Cyprus improved his service level in the third set and was able to take it
in the tie break by 7 – 1. Wawrinka was struggling with his tennis and was
broken in the first game of the fourth set, but like in the opening set, was
able to recover from a break down and closed this match in the tie break in his
third match point by 9 – 7.
Tomas
Berdych had no troubles to beat Julien Benneateu with a solid performance he
crushed the French by 6 – 0 6 – 3 6 – 2. The Czech fired 36 winners and
produced some of his best tennis this week to keep himself in this competition.
