One of the
biggest games of the day will open the session in Louis Armstrong Stadium with
the top 10 player Stanislas Wawrinka playing against Marcos Baghdatis
Baghdatis
hasn’t been in a good level this season, however he is playing an amazing
tennis this week and after an easy win in the first round with Go Soeda, the
player from Cyprus produced some of the best tennis in the last months against
Kevin Anderson, beating the 20th player in the ATP ranking by 6 – 2 6
– 2 6 – 2.
Wawrinka
faced two of the most experienced players in the tournament and despite some
difficulties in the opening set he was able to pull off two wins in straight
sets against Radek Stepanek and Ivo Karlovic
The Suisse
won the two previous meetings, however both games were very balanced and I
expect another hard game for both players.
