Dustin Brown claims 5th career title on Challenger Tour

Dustin Brown defats Filippo Volandri to get first season title

After a tough loss this year in Sarajevo’s final against Adrian Mannarino 6 – 7 6 – 7, the German Dustin Brown won his first 2013 title after at Genova. Dreddy had a very difficult draw facing three home players in his three last games, but was able to pull of his best tennis to get the title. In the final, the player born in Celle had to play his best tennis to overcome Filippo Volandri taking this match by 7 – 6 6 – 3.

Brown made the difference on Volandri’s second serve, winning 67% of the points in the Italian’s second ball. Also very important for Dustin the way he played the break points, especially on the second set saving all three chances he faced and converting 50% of the opportunities in Volandri’s serve.

Congratulations for an amazing week!
