ATP Bangkok – Milos Raonic conquers Thailand’s crown

Milos Raonic served at great level with 18 aces to overcome Tomas Berdych

Tomas Berdych was playing his third season final and still looking for first title after defeats in Dubai (against Novak Djokovic) and Marseille (against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga).

The first set was a big battle of serve both players had good percentages of first serves, Berdych with 76% first serve in and Milos Raonic 68%. With such good serves from both players, this set was decided in a tie break, Milos took it with 7 – 4 in the breaker.

Berdych lost his focus and started this set dropping his serve. Raonic just had to hold serve and that’s exactly what he did not losing a single point on his first serve in this second set and taking this one 6 – 3.
