Venus Williams reaches Tokyo's quarter-finals

Venus Williams comes from set and break against Simona Halep

Venus has struggled with Sjorgen’s Syndrome that affects her physical condition and doesn’t allow playing at her best consistently, however Venus has been at very good level this week in Tokyo. Serena’s older sister has defeated so far Mona Barthel, Victoria Azarenka and Simona Halep. Three great victories so far and despite poor performance by Vika, all the credit to Williams who played very aggressive tennis.

Venus defeated today Simona Halep 4 – 6 7 – 5 6 – 3 recovering from a set and a break down. In the next round she’ll face young Canadian Eugenie Bouchard after her big win against Jelena Jankovic 7 – 5 6 – 3
