Wawrinka will try to keep good momentum against Djokovic in today's semi-final

Novak Djokovic vs Stanislas Wawrinka – US Open 2013 semi-final Preview

Djokovic is looking to reach his 12th Grand Slam final, the Serbian has been able to reach that stage of these competitions in a regular way, in the last 12 Slams Nole has been in 9 finals showing why he’s the World No. 1.

Wawrinka is a debutant in Slam’s semi-finals and wants to keep his momentum after an outstanding performance against Andy Murray beating the defending champion in straight sets.

This should be an exciting match, both players faced each other earlier this year on Austalian Open and Djokovic took that match after a dramatic 12 – 10 in a fifth set. Despite Djokovic’s victory, Wawrinka said in this US Open that the match in Aussie Open gave him a huge confidence for this season.

Wawrinka is playing some of the best tennis in his career and he says: “This is my moment”. Stan the man is firing winners from everywhere and in my opinion he is playing even better than he was in the first Slam of the year. Even so, we can never underestimate the best player on Hard Courts for the last years and Djokovic has also been at a great level just losing a set in all competition.

Stan will have to keep a very high level during all match like he did against Murray, otherwise Nole will take advantage of that to make the difference.I expect a very fiery contest with some extraordinary points from both players. Djokovic is the favorite and he should be able to win this match in four sets despite Wawrinka’s resistance and shot making ability.
