Defending champion wins in straight sets

Defending champion wins in straight sets

After losing a set against Leonardo Mayer, the defending champion was looking to get a comfortable win over Florian Mayer. The first set was very close and like it happened in Madrid (Murray won 7 – 6 7 – 6) the first set was decided in a tie break. Murray was struggling to get first serves in, but in the tie break was able to find his best tennis to get ahead in this contest.

The second and third set were all about Murray, the British won 48% of points in the return in those two sets and only allowed Mayer to win 45% points around the net. Without losing his serve on this match, the 2012 champion is already in the fourth round.
