This Thursday the favorite home player
Eugenie Bouchard will be in action against Sesil Karatantcheva after her tough
win over Sofia Arvidsson. The player from Kazakhstan won the previous meeting
in 2011, however Bouchard has improved her game level and has everything to
take this match to her side. Genie proved
to be a pure fighter yesterday and should take this match against
Karatantcheva.
Lauren Davis overcame Camila Giorgi in a
three set contest having to come back from one set down and saving 91% break
points she faced. This time she will face another player that won her match in
three sets, Andrea Hlavackova. The Czech defeated Anastasia Rodionova and is a
good player in Indoor Hard Courts. Hlavackova hits the ball very flat with her
forehand and feels very comfortable around the net. Davis is a solid baseline
player, but this should be an interesting meeting decided in three sets.
